Went to VA for a soccer friendly for my oldest son.  It was just to the point where the daffodils were growing, however the grass was still quite brown.  As always, we enjoyed the historic features, and daydreamed about living in rural VA while we took the back roads.

This cemetery, found between Maryland and Pennsylvania Avenues in Oakmont, PA has headstones dating back to before the turn of the 19th century.  Some of the founding and pioneering persons of our small borough's history are buried here.

Rainy day...

Rainy day?  I laugh in the face of a rainy day...  Not really - a bummer that there isn't any light and it's pouring rain.  Took advantage of a break to shoot this.  Loving the new camera and 50mm lens so far.

John Coffer

A beautifully done short movie by Lost and Found FIlms about John Coffer, a man who over 25 years ago abandoned his life of convenience, technology and modern conveniences to live on 50 acres in New York state.  He is a wet plate photographer as well.
